YWCA Hamilton’s Young Women’s Advisory Council is hosting an exhibition in our community gallery to close Women’s History Month and commemorate Canadian history.

Please join them for an opening reception of their exhibition, HERitage: 150 Years of Persistence, on Thursday, March 30th, from 5-7 pm.

On display will be a collection of banners and posters created both by members of the Young Women's Advisory Council and youth members of the Hamilton Regional Indian Centre. These works will be combined with artifacts from WAHC’s permanent collection.

These items are the culmination of discussions inspired by the recent Women’s Marches about ways that many, and different Women have affected positive change in Canada by persistent action through civic engagement.

For more information, contact Tara Bursey, Program Coordinator at (905) 522-3003 ex. 29 or tara@wahc-museum.ca

YWCA Hamilton’s Young Women’s Advisory Council wishes to thank Canadian Heritage for their support of this exhibition.
