A Hamilton Textile/Garment Industry and Exhibition Walking Tour, co-hosted by the Workers Arts & Heritage Centre and the Art Gallery of Hamilton.

This winter season, WAHC presents All or None: Garment Workers' Union Banners from the Permanent Collection, which draws connections between our collection of historic union banners and the work of contemporary Canadian artist Kandis Friesen. At the same time, the Art Gallery of Hamilton presents Sara Angelucci: Piece Work, focused on the garment workers of Coppley Apparel. To synchronize these exhibitions, WAHC and the AGH are pleased to co-host an artist-led exhibition tour at each venue, connected by a short walking tour led by WAHC staff highlighting some of the historic and remaining textile and garment manufacturing vestiges in the city's core.

Schedule:

10:30 am     |     Tour of All or None with Kandis Friesen starting at the Workers Arts & Heritage Centre

11:15 am     |     Walking tour departs from WAHC

1:00pm     |     Tour of Piece Work with Sara Angelucci
