Labour history is never finished-- every day, we contribute to the living, thriving culture of working people in this country. Make history by telling your story or your family's story of work, home, and play in Hamilton using our Workers' City app this winter. We will post your photos and stories inspired by sites found on the Workers' City website on the app's Tumblr page.

To participate in this online storytelling project, follow these easy steps:

  1.  BROWSE the local sites found on our Workers' City website. Find one that resonates with your life or family history. Perhaps you lived on Clinton Street or your mother worked at Canadian Westinghouse on Sanford Avenue. Or maybe you currently have a small business in the building that used to be home to the Imperial Cotton Company Ltd. Our online tours feature local sites across Hamilton.
  2.  SHARE a memory that connects to one or more of the sites on Workers' City. You can also CHOOSE photos from your personal collection that represent this memory, and write captions for each photo.
  3.  SUBMIT your writing and photos to us via email. We will post your contribution on the Workers' City blog within one week of receiving your submission.
  4.  HELP us share this project with others who might want to contribute! Let your friends and family know about your contribution by sharing a link to it.
