Smack dab in the middle of International Womens Day and Equal Pay Day in Ontario, come celebrate women at work with a community gathering and performance, featuring the women of Hamilton 7.
A co-presentation of the Workers Arts & Heritage Centre, and the Women’s Equity Working Group of the Hamilton and District Labour Council.
Featured storytellers from Hamilton 7 include Karen Ancheta, Darla Biccum, Hitoko Okada & Lisa Pijuan-Nomura.
Event starts at 7 pm, performance starts at 8 pm. Refreshments will be served; cash bar. We will be collecting donations of sanitary materials and toiletries for women in support of Inasmuch House. Admission is free; all are welcome!

Founded in May of 2016, the Hamilton 7 is a local collective of storytellers who host a monthly storytelling night at The Staircase Cafe Theatre. Through monthly performances and partnerships with local organizations, their professional local tellers present from diverse experiences and realities.
