SUMMARY:All Together Now! Take - Home Banner Making Kits
DESCRIPTION:WAHC celebrates Labour Day this year with a take-home banner making kit that makes all work visible and celebrates essential workers! \nDesigned by visual artist and graphic designer Tariq Sami\, the kit includes all materials needed to collage\, decorate and colour your banner\, and some information on essential workers in long term care\, retail and migrant farm work. Kits are kid-friendly but fun and appropriate for everyone.  \nKits are still available for pick up during WAHC’s open hours (Weds-Fri 10 am – 4 pm and Sat 12 – 4 pm) while quantities last. \nAnd click here to see our Program and Exhibitions Specialist Sonali Menezes’ banner making demo video on our Facebook page!  \nNot close to WAHC? Printable banner templates are available for free download by clicking here. \nTariq Sami is a Mississauga/Toronto-based illustrator and designer.  His work explores concepts of narrative and storytelling with a focus on identity\, diversity\, equity and social justice. \nFeel free to contact Sonali Menezes\, Programming and Exhibitions Specialist\, if you have any questions at sonali@wahc-museum.ca \nWith the support and collaboration of the Atkinson Foundation. WAHC also acknowledges support from the Canada Council for the Arts\, the Ontario Arts Council\, the Province of Ontario and the City of Hamilton\, as well as the Hamilton and District Labour Council\, Canadian Union of Public Employees and the Canadian Building Trades Unions.
