Make Digital Solidarity Buttons

WAHC is starting a Solidarity Club! Join us in our first activity and make digital solidarity buttons for workers during COVID-19! Making buttons is fun and easy. We’re using a free, simple website called Autodraw to design buttons which can then be downloaded as PNG image files and shared online as a message of solidarity for workers affected by COVID-19.

WAHC is also collecting digital solidarity buttons! (We may even turn some of them into real, physical buttons!) We’d love for you to share your buttons with us by emailing your PNG files to:

solidarity@wahc-museum.ca

WAHC has created a partial list of local organizations and unions whose workers are providing essential services to our community. Scroll down to see this list and feel free to tag them and us if you share your buttons on social media. We also encourage you to create and share digital solidarity buttons for workers not listed here that are close to your heart and in your community!

Scroll down to get started!

First, get an intro to the Autodraw tools by watching this video.

Then, watch this sample button video tutorial and start making your own buttons on Autodraw!

Get ideas for new buttons inspired by workers from WAHC's limited regional list of labour organizations accessible via the pink button below.  Or create buttons for organizations and workers personal to you and your community! Tag organizations, workers, and WAHC if you share the solidarity buttons online!

Finally, add to WAHC's digital solidarity button collection by emailing your creations to:

solidarity@wahc-museum.ca

You can also email us if you have any questions!
