Quilting Using Everyday Fabrics with Holly Chang

Children and families are invited to join In the Wake of Work exhibiting artist Holly Chang to make quilted squares while exploring their ancestral roots! Chang will explain how her art project on display, Stitching the Story of Chinese Canadian Histories, used fabric to represent the work of Asian Canadians. Participants will then create their own quilt square using glue and fabric, envisioning their own place in our community history. Each square will be sewn together into a quilt.

To register contact Michelle Urbanek by email at michelle@welcomeinn.ca or by phone at 905-525-5824 or in person at the Welcome Inn Community Centre. Arabic translation provided.
