SUMMARY:Second Saturdays | Comic Arts with Sid Sharp
DESCRIPTION:Second Saturdays are for families to relax\, explore\, and play.\nJoin us for Second Saturdays this season from 1-4pm for FREE family drop-in activities at the museum\, led by special guest artists! Projects draw inspiration from our Main Gallery exhibition\, Thirty for Thirty. \nComic Arts with Sid Sharp\nIn WAHC’s final Second Saturday for 2025\, children and families are invited to join author-illustrator Sid Sharp to learn about the art of storytelling with graphic novels. Participants will be invited to explore storytelling through a comic activity and collaborative collage\, and Sid will lead a reading of their novel Bog Myrtle at 1:15.  \nThis workshop is appropriate for children ages 9-12. Participation is free and materials will be provided.  \nAll children must be supervised by an adult. \nWAHC wishes to acknowledge the Ontario Arts Council\, the City of Hamilton\, the Province of Ontario\, CUPE National\, the Canada Council for the Arts\, Canada’s Building Trades Unions\, OPSEU/SEFPO and Teamsters Local Union 879 for their support of our exhibitions and ancillary programs. \nFor more information\, please contact Ada Bierling\, Interim Programming and Exhibitions Specialist\, at (905) 522-3003 ex. 29 or ada@wahc-museum.ca.
