SUMMARY:In Other Words: Mixed Media Stories
DESCRIPTION:In Other Words: Mixed Media Stories \nA Saturday Mixed Media Workshop Series for Children and Youth with Lisa Pijuan-Nomura \nIn Other Words is a series of workshops where children and youth will create mixed media collages as a form of storytelling. Inspired by the work in Lynn Hutchinson Lee’s exhibition metanoia\, participants will use collage to explore themes of work\, immigration and family stories. The sessions will culminate in a final public presentation of work to family\, friends and the community! \nProgram runs October 18th\, 25th\, November 1st\, 8th and 22nd 2014. \nChildren 6-8 years old: Morning sessions 9:00 am – 10:30 am  |  Youth 13-15 years old: Afternoon sessions 11:00 am – 1:00 pm \nCost: \nSliding scale of $20.00–30.00 for all five sessions to cover the cost of materials\, payable by cash\, cheque or credit card. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. To discuss alternate payment options\, please contact us. \nPre-registration and pre-payment is required.
