Thread the needle and join us Friday, November 10th from 6:30-10:30 pm in the King George Ballroom at LiUNA Station in Hamilton for the 28th annual Sam Lawrence Dinner.
This year’s theme is a celebratory one; we’re having a banner year! 2023 has been a year of big dreams and new directions at WAHC. Yet we’re always learning from our past. In this spirit, one of this year’s major projects has been digitizing our priceless historical collection of labour and union banners. These banners’ history and the stories of workers’ struggles and triumphs woven into their fabric symbolize a powerful spirit of solidarity that carries on to inspire workers today. WAHC will debut a new digital exhibition highlighting the banners and their stories at this year’s Sam Lawrence Dinner.

Come see all that SAM 28 has to offer! Attend the dinner with your friends, family, or local and enjoy a lavish three-course dinner with the labour community. View the new digital exhibition and bid on unique items at this year’s silent auction.
If you can’t attend in person, you can support us by buying a solidarity ticket or table for artists and volunteers or an advertisement for our dinner program!
